Faye’s stainless steel disc roadbike is a kind of multi discipline bike. She can run from 25mm to 32mm tyres. The idea behind this was to run 25mm when racing in triathlons then to have the ability to 32mm for the rougher roads around Somerset and Dublin
The brief was quite simple, ride characteristics: stable while descending, Comfort on the straight and light for the climbs. The function and form of the finishing kit was not to be compromised. The aesthetic needed to be clean, vibrant
For the paint we used white as the base colour with sky blue fading into it. To give it vibrance we though over a coat of pearl. This reaaaly worked well with the exposed sections of stainless steel.
We dropped the BB a to give stability and the
comfortability that she was after. The tube set was a mix of
Columbus XCR tubes for durability and the lightness of the frame.
The finishing kit, including the fork which is
Enve. We used a T47 bottom bracket as it was imperative that the overall finish of the bike was clean and uncluttered from cables or hydraulic hoses. We placed a guided internal routing for the hydraulic hose, running this through the down tube and bottom bracket, into the chain stay, and up and out at the brake
calliper. Pairing this with
Faye’s
roadbike now makes up a pair in there household. check out her husbands build

Faymous on the top tube is a nod to a future tasty drop….
