Matthew
Light Tourer

Despite having multiple of road and mountain bikes, I’d never owned a tourer. I built this bicycle to get a good feel of how a tourer rides. I wanted something simple with a slightly modern twist. When designing this bicycle, I slackened the head tube and seat tube angles and decreased the drop from my usual road frame design. For the modern twist, I dismantled a full SRAM RED group-set  I sanded back all the carbon and had it painted to match the rest of the frame. The steering is very comfortable and it gives a great ride. The lugs are hand carved/altered to simplify them. The tubset I used was Columbus SL I feel this was the perfect tubeset for this type of frame.
