This bike is a replica of Mark’s first Saffron road bike only this time we opted for disc brakes and a new colour scheme.
The frame is all Columbus XCR stainless steel with snapring dropouts from Paragon Machine Works and a hidden pinchbolt seatpost clamp.
The geometry is designed with all day riding in mind but it doesn’t venture into relaxed endurance territory, it maintains a quick and nimble feeling so it still feels fast and fun.
The paint design for Mark’s road bike was heavily influenced by the ISP track bike which we built for his good friend Richard a couple of years ago. You can find pictures of that on the website. It has this topographical style pattern over navy on the carbon seat tube. For this bike, we took that design and expanded it over the whole frame with the highlights and down tube logo in a contrasting light, pastel blue. All painstakingly masked around the full frame for a seamless finish.
