Mark Road

For Mark’s road bike, performance was the main consideration. We created this no frills (candy paint job aside), lightweight, race inspired road bike from stainless steel for him.
Whilst it is stainless, this is a summer best bike so we stuck with rim brakes for their light weight and ease of maintenance. Using rim brakes allows us to make the frame a little lighter too, using thinner chainstays and less cable/hose routing. The thin wall chainstays are still plenty stiff but without needing to accommodate for the additional forces of a disc brake, they maintain a little zing in their step.
The seat stays are set wide where they meet the seat tube and blended into the top tube for a continuous smooth transition and our signature pinch bolt seat clamp keeps the whole thing surgically clean.

It can sometimes be difficult to achieve a simple and clean look whilst still making a statement.
The depth in this House of Kolor candy red catches the eye without fail.
The design is otherwise very clean; a single colour with exposed stainless stays, downtube lettering and a pair of stainless polished stripes that run from the fork and through the frame.
We used another House of Kolor paint on the fork to create the illusion of the stainless steel stripes on the carbon fibre.
