This roadbike is one of our favorites. There are so many little details which make this a rad build. You can’t seem them at first but when you look closely they pop out at you. This is very much what we strive towards with every build.
We are always stoked when a Saffron owner comes back to us to expand his stable of bikes with another Saffron.
Martin started this build conversation the same as when he approached us to build
Gilberto. Always the tube set being the centre point and everything is built around it. We used a Columbus Max top tube and down tube. The bi-oval shape of the tubes works perfectly with this build. There is a little bit of a retro flare about this tube. Though for the rest of the frame and build the retro stops right there. To bring this build bang up to date we used a Carbon
ISP. This has a 30mm diameter which was laid up specificity for this project. It has torsional strength with flex. This is to make sure Martin has a good level of comfort and benefit from the weight saving of using carbon. The chain stays are Columbus
XCR. The wish bone was fully custom made in- house. We wanted the wishbone flowing from the wide and flat Columbus max top tube
This bike is primarily a road bike. She can fit upto a 28mm tyre. Not bad with rim brakes
The paint job is the celebrate
Ayrton Senna life and F1 racing. He died 25 years ago to the day we handed over the bike.
The finishing kit has not expense spared.
Wheels: Campagnolo Bora WTO (mixed depth)
