Rad
Utility Bike

Rad came to me wanting a functional butcher bike for everyday use with, let’s just say, a touch of bling. Rad is a barrister and wanted his bicycle to transport all of his goodies to court everyday. For this we built a massive custom-made stainless steel front rack. He also wanted a carbon belt drive which we built into the classical design. Even though Rad wanted something reasonably understated, we went with a full polished lug-set, including the bottom bracket to emphasis the craftmanship of the frame. Rad was very enthusiastic about this build and paid much attention to every detail, as one does with a custom bike. We even stained the basket oak slats to match the Brookes saddle. The judges at Bespoked Bristol appreciated this bicycle so much that it was awarded Best Utility Bicycle at the 2013 show.
