Sean, who leads a very eco conscious London based lifestyle, approached us wanting a versatile bike to cover mainly road riding, some fast club runs and tow path riding with mudguards to match the frame.
We chose Columbus XCR stainless steel tubing for its versatility and corrosion resistant properties. A smooth but slightly relaxed steering was used where we opted for a slightly smaller diameter for the downtube than would normally do for a rider of Sean’s size to give more flex within the frame, and therefore more comfort. Sean wanted an elegant and understated aesthetic to his frame.
We chose a contemporary Fiat Verde Scuro green with its fine metal silver flakes to add depth and visual body. On the front top sections of the seat tube, we have the Liver Bird coming through to tie in with Sean’s love of Liverpool football Club. The classic Saffron finish with exposed seat stays, logo downtube and chain stays together with the colour scheme gives a smart and understated overall aesthetic.
