Steven was wonderful person to work with. He came down all the way from Scotland to discuss his custom build. He was quite unassuming which made for a very pleasant working relationship. We don’t often make mountain bikes so when we are asked to make it one it a pleasure to do so.

After getting a good description of the type of trails he rides and his love for a lefty fork we went about designing the ideal geometry for this. One of the design elements was that he wanted a bit of stainless steel in the bike but left it up to us to decide where the most appropriate place was to use it. We therefore created a brushed stainless steel bilaminate headtube to give a nod to give a classical styling. We used 17/4 stainless steel bullets which gave added strength to the polydrops.

Assembled build kit from UK parts suppliers Hope, group from Sram and a nod to the classic with a saddle from Brooks the bike has combined to be much more than a sum of it’s parts.
