Wolf’s bike is an all stainless, Columbus XCR road bike designed to be fast yet comfortable for long days in the saddle. Stainless steel is often a little lighter than its regular carbon-steel counterpart and TIG welding keeps the weight to a minimum too.
It is unpainted and instead uses a mix of polished and media blasted aspects. It is an all external, all mechanical, all serviceable tool designed to last a lifetime (or until cables and rim brakes become obsolete, whichever is first)
For Wolf whose life and work by large involves environmental conscientiousness, a repairable and recyclable stainless steel bike fits him perfectly and you are likely to see this machine being ridden hard out on the roads for many years to come.
The parts list for Wolf’s bike echoes the rationale behind the frame. It is a high quality, highly functional selection of components that will be user serviceable long into the future.
