Danny

Danny came to us with a clear idea he wanted a bike inspired by the classic style, with the every-say usability of a modern steel ride. We made the frame, stem and fork to put him in the perfect position as specified by the fit and other information whilst keeping the lines as clean and classic as possible. Using a Bi-laminate sleeve for the head tube allowed us to increase the tubing diameters and tune the angles perfectly yet still giving the shore-lines and transitions of lugs that Danny loves. Instead of chromed, as the old school frames would have been – the back of the bike is stainless steel, along with the fork legs. These parts of the frame exposed to the elements don’t only serve a function to protect the paint from ware, but look great.

Paint from House of Kolor bring the bike bang up to date along with the modern 11 speed shifting, but classic looking Campagnolo Athena groupset. Noble wheels custom polished a set of Campagnolo Record hubs for us to complete the package of subtle custom features.

Danny comments after his first spin: I got out on the bike on Sunday. 40 very nice miles, it’s even better than I thought it was going to be! Thank you very much for the time and effort, I had a number of conversations on route with various jealous people!”
